Patisserie by Barbara

I had the mortadella pistachio focaccia sandwich and it was divine. The focaccia was fresh baked (super fluffy but crispy on the outside and warm) it was filled with plenty of mortadella and delicious goodness. The cafe owner even brought me some olive oil to drizzle on top! The sandwich was huge and easily lasted me 2 meals.

Hands down the best place in the neighborhood to grab a bite or lekker koffietje. Barbara does it all. The focaccia and brioche sandwiches are to die for and always hit the spot. And her sweets are freakin to die for.

We stumbled upon this bakery since it was close to our hotel and it exceeded our expectations! Barbara made an excellent cappuccino along with an amazing mortadella and pistachio sandwich and was even kind enough to give us a cookie for our flight back home. We will be back if we’re back in Amsterdam.

I’m very critical with my Google reviews but let me tell you. For once. I have nothing to be critical about - 10/10 food and coffee!

If you want to try handmade delicacies like they used to be made in the past, from cakes to croissants, then go to Barbara. I personally have tried many cappuccinos and coffees in Amsterdam, but Barbara's is the best one, similar to the cappuccino I drink in Italy, and I also add her great cordiality and kindness. a cozy, small café with a plethora of coffee options (the best we’d had in amsterdam!) and freshly baked, delicious pastries! the owner was kind and very obviously cared about making sure her customers enjoy their time there. we’d definitely recommend

Barbara gave me such a nice warm welcome from the moment I walked in! She advised on some lovely croissants with pistachio, freshly baked focaccia, cheese bread, chocolate bread and also a nice chocolate mouse rose. I took it all and enjoyed it so much! Definitely coming back soon!❤️

If you are in Amsterdam you need to stop here! Barbara is the sweetest person and everything she makes is incredible. I went there 4 days in a row I couldn’t get enough. The best brioche I’ve ever had!

Barbara is such an angel. I bought a cake to celebrate my friend’s job offer and she offered me with a big welcome and a pretty ass decoration for the cake box. And the flavor of the cake? I’m not lying it’s the BEST CAKE in this city. If you are not visiting this patisserie when you are visiting amsterdam, you are missing out. Trust me it’s worth it!!

We had breakfast here every day during our visit to Amsterdam, it was delicious. The coffee is great, the croissants delicious and the service is perfect. Definitely recommend coming here!

I am currently in the midst of a 3 week European vacation, I've been to three cities, including Vienna and Barbara serves the best coffee and pastry. The pain au chocolat was fresh out of the oven, and so flaky and delicious. Barbara is friendly and the vibe is warm and inviting.
